AND THE MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION (just kidding) FOR THIS YEAR IS ?

Essay question for the Ragster Award 2025

As part of your scholarship application, we ask that you provide thoughtful and detailed responses to the following two questions. Your answers will help us understand your academic journey, professional aspirations, and commitment to creating a meaningful impact within your community. Please read the instructions carefully before submitting your responses.

  1. How have your experiences in higher education shaped your academic and professional goals, and how do you plan to use your education to achieve these goals?

Reflect on how your time in college has influenced your intellectual growth, personal values, and career aspirations. Share specific examples of how your coursework, extracurricular activities, internships, or research have contributed to your development. Explain how these experiences have prepared you to achieve your long-term goals and make a meaningful contribution to your chosen field.

  2. In what specific ways do you plan to contribute to the betterment of your community or society as a whole after completing your education?

Go beyond general ideas and outline a detailed vision for how you will create a positive impact. Consider the skills, knowledge, and networks you’ve gained during your college experience and how you will apply them to address real-world challenges. Whether through leadership, innovation, advocacy, or service, describe the concrete steps you plan to take to give back to your community or contribute to global progress.
Each response should demonstrate depth, self-reflection, and a clear connection between your education and your future impact.
